About Our Fund
Emergency Relief Coordinators continue to see a rise in families needing financial assistance with basic necessities.
Our emergency financial assistance program assists families and individuals living in the Walkersville / Woodsboro feeder school area of Frederick County, Maryland – as determined by Frederick County Public Schools.
Eligibility is based not only on location but on financial situation, being able to sustain payments moving forward and the frequency of assistance needed.
Emergency food needs are referred to the Glade Valley Food Bank.
Areas of Need
We assist families and individuals living in the Walkersville/Woodsboro area in the following areas of need.
- Utilities (Electric, Water, Gas)
- Heating Oil
- Some Medical Prescriptions
- Medical bills
- Rent assistance
Funds are paid directly to the service provider.
Emergency assistance for other assistance is considered on a case by case basis.
